The all-in-one rest stop, offering a range of amenities, including a casino, restaurant and fueling stations located in Madras, Oregon, Plateau Travel Plaza, announced the beginning of a major expansion and renovation.
The renovation project will create temporary and permanent jobs
The venue, owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and Warm Springs Casino Enterprises (WSCE), started the reconstruction on August 25, 2025, following the annual air show.
The major project is expected to create 20 new permanent roles, while during the construction, hundreds of temporary jobs are going to be created as well.
The exciting expansion and renovation project at Plateau Travel Plaza reaffirms the venue’s dedication to investing in the community and delivering new amenities to its guests.
The ambitious project is led by Kirby construction company and KMB architects.
While Plateau Travel Plaza confirmed the starting date of the building works, it is yet to be confirmed when the project will be fully completed.
Ensuring convenience for its visitors, the all-in-one rest stop will keep all of the trucker amenities such as showers, laundry and fuel lanes open.
